From Hilo:

 

1) 8:30am Port of Hilo

 

Please depart your ship, then go through or along side the Visitor Arrival Building (Pier 1) to the Aloha Room Sign located near the building’s front entrance. Please do not go outside the security gate, our uniformed driver will pick you up in front of the Aloha Room Sign. Our tour van has BikeVolcano.com written on the side of it and will be towing an enclosed grey trailer.

 

2) 8:40am Castle – Hilo Hawaiian Hotel Lobby – 71 Banyan Dr., Hilo, HI, 96720

 

Driving Directions From Waikoloa and South Kohala Resorts (1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hours): Take a left (North) on Hwy 19 to Waikoloa Road (First Intersection near Waikoloa Heliport). Take a right on Waikoloa Road, uphill to Hwy 190. Take a right on Hwy 190 then at mile marker 14 turn left onto Hwy 200 which turns into Hwy 2000 to the end of highway. Take a left onto Komohana St to the end of the street then take a right on Waianuenue St. Take Waianuenue to the ocean and turn right on Hwy 19 or Kamehameha Ave. Turn left at Kanoelehua Ave. onto Banyan Drive (where Hwy. 19 meets Hwy 11, the fourth intersection after coming into Hilo along the bay, Ken’s House of Pancakes will be on your right). The Hilo Hawaiian Hotel (71 Banyan Dr.) is the last hotel on your right before Queen Liliu’okalani Park (the Japanese Garden). Park in the hotel parking (free parking) or anywhere along Banyan Drive and meet our uniformed driver and tour van in front of the open hotel lobby under the porte cochere.

 

Driving Directions From the Hamakua Coast: Take Hwy 19 to Hilo. Turn left at Kanoelehua Ave. onto Banyan Drive (where Hwy. 19 meets Hwy 11, the fourth intersection after coming into Hilo along the bay, Ken’s House of Pancakes will be on your right). The Hilo Hawaiian Hotel (71 Banyan Dr.) is the last hotel on your right before Queen Liliu’okalani Park (the Japanese Garden). 3) 9:30am Kilauea General Store – 19-3972 Old Volcano Road, Volcano Village, HI.

 

Option 1 (Saddle Road):
Driving Directions From Waikoloa Resorts (2 to 2 1/2 hours):
Take a left (North) on Hwy 19 to Waikoloa Road (First Intersection near Waikoloa Heliport). Take a right on Waikoloa Road, uphill to Hwy 190. Take a right on Hwy 190 then at mile marker 14 turn left onto Hwy 200 which turns into Hwy 2000 to the end of highway. Take a right onto Komohana St then take the first left onto Puainako St. Next take a right on Hwy. 11, Kanoelehua Ave., to Volcano. Take a right on the second street after the 26 mile marker onto Wright Road (There will be a sign there indicating Food & Lodging). Next take a left at the stop sign onto the Old Volcano Rd. The Kilauea General Store will be on your right with an Aloha Gas Station and the Lava Rock Cafe adjacent to it.Please park in the spaces to the far rear of the employee parking lot located behind the store in the bottom back row. Do not park against any of the curbs. Please meet our uniformed guide and driver located at the store’s front entrance. Please leave no trace in the parking area by placing all trash in a rubbish can. Cars parked in the incorrect area are subject to be towed. Please verify with our guide that you are parked in the correct location.

 

Driving Directions From Mauna Lani, Fairmont Orchid, Hapuna Prince, Mauna Kea Resorts (2 to 2 1/2):

 

Go South on Hwy 19 to Waikoloa Road (First Intersection near Waikoloa Heliport). Take a left on Waikoloa Road, uphill to Hwy 190. Then follow the above listed directions.

 

Option 2 (South):
Driving Directions From Kailua-Kona (2 1/4 – 2 1/2 hours):

 

Take Hwy 11 South to Volcano. Take a left on the second street after the 27 mile marker onto Wright Road. At the stop sign take a left onto the Old Volcano Rd. The Kilauea General Store will be on your right with an Aloha Gas Station and Lava Rock Cafe adjacent to it. Please park in the spaces to the far rear of the employee parking lot located behind the store in the bottom back row. Do not park against any of the curbs. Please meet our uniformed guide and driver located at the store’s front entrance. Please leave no trace in the parking area by placing all trash in a rubbish can. Cars parked in the incorrect area are subject to be towed. Please verify with our guide that you are parked in the correct location.

 


Option 3 (Northeast):
Driving Directions From Kohala Resorts (3 hours):

 

Take Hwy 19 North to Hilo. Then take Hwy 11 South to Volcano. Take a right on the second street after the 26 mile marker onto Wright Road (There will be a sign there indicating Food & Lodging). Next take a left at the stop sign onto the Old Volcano Rd. The Kilauea General Store will be on your right with an Aloha Gas Station and Lava Rock Cafe adjacent to it.Please park in the spaces to the far rear of the employee parking lot located behind the store in the bottom back row. 4) 9:45am KMC – Hawaii Volcanoes National Park – 99-252 Crater Rim Dr., Volcano, HI.
