This amazing adventure starts at the Summit of Kilauea Volcano, where you will witness the incredible New Summit Crater. We will bike around the rim of the erupting summit crater on paved roads. Along the way your interpretive guide will provide you with information about the historic summit crater eruption, geology, Hawaiian culture, and pointing out native plants as you bike along.

We will bike though a lush native Hawaiian Rain Forest where you will see a variety of other craters as well as getting a chance to see the Pu’u Pua’i Cinder Cone and Devastation Trail. The tour continues to Keanakako’i Crater and down the Chain of Craters Road. The total mileage of the tour is 15.5 miles on mostly downhill and level terrain. We will take the last 4 miles to the coast by van (time permitting) and have lunch. After lunch we will return to the summit by van.
