This short but sweet adventure starts at the Summit of Kilauea Volcano, which is currently erupting. We will bike around the rim of the summit crater on off road trails and paved roads. Along the way your interpretive guide will provide you with information about the current eruption, geology, Hawaiian culture, and pointing out native plants as you bike along.
After leaving the rim of the summit crater we will stop by the Steam Vents to feel the heat of the Volcano before heading though the lush native Hawaiian Rain Forest. Here you will see a variety of other craters as well as getting a chance to hike through the Thurston Lava Tube. Our course continues to wind its way through the rainforest and ends at the top of the Chain of Craters Road.
