Kilauea Volcano’s summit swarms with hundreds of earthquakes. From February 21 – 24th, 2012 earthquakes as large as 4.3 rocked the summit area. The magnitude-4.3 earthquake did cause a small rockfall in the active vent located within Halema’uma’u Crater. Please see a picture of this event taken by Larry Broido.
